Friends, just when I think I’ve seen the coolest thing we have in the shop, something else pops up! Really, the shop is packed with so much interesting stuff right now!
I think if you flip through the mental picture-book in your head of Things That Didn’t Survive the Wash, you won’t find Club Monaco in there. They are one of my favourite work-horse brands; well designed without being over-designed, quality construction and wearable. And they do a good blazer!
This one is wool, but check out that white piping! Small detail, but imagine this blazer without it? Are you asleep yet? Ha! And I love the preppy Club Monaco crest!
Even the buttons have the crest on them! Cute!
Weeeeeeeeeeeee! Friends, you’ll never guess all the surprises in this vintage dress!!! So exciting! First off, it’s Joseph Ribkoff! That’s right, a mint Joseph Ribkoff vintage dress!…..Or is it?
Nope, holdonaminute because it turns out that this is a vintage Joseph Ribkoff romper!!! I know! I’m dead.
So at first I was already excited about this belt because, well, you know, it’s a cool a cool braided belt, right?
But it’s actually a really cool COACH braided belt! Oooooooooo-k!
Our special treat this week is this super sweet Ted Baker top!
The scarf pull-through is obviously the star of the show on this one. Friends, I love me some vintage flight-attendant vibes! And check out the butterflies!
Ah. Don’t let these navy pants trick you into thinking you should float past them. These are from Montreal ethical brand Bentina Lou, and feature all the awkward details that we love in pants these days!
I’m talk pleats and cropped (which I LOVE)!
With the Ted Baker top and the Coach belt!
Oh, just some flats…with cat faces on them!!
Can you see the little ears?! So adorable!!
But, just in case it was getting too sweet for you, these have gold studs all around the edge. So now they are PUNK flats with cat faces on them.
I tried these on for you and they are SOOOOOO fun!
We got some absolutely stunning, next level pieces in the shop as well, friends. This beautiful dress is silk (and I think it’s handmade by a talented maker)!
This print is amazing and so detailed but crisp, and I don’t know if it pops like that because it’s on silk, or if some other textile magic has been preformed on it.
And then there’s this………THIS! Friends, this piece is so gorgeous I almost just want to hang it on my wall! I suspect this is silk and also vintage and maybe even hand-woven. The colours are so saturated and vibrant, it’s incredible!
I mean, are you seeing what I’m seeing?! So beautiful! I’m dead. Again.
So, friends, this huge enamel pendant necklace is all I see every time I walk past the jewellery case!
It’s on this super long 80s-tastic chain.
This thing is so interesting looking that I hate to describe it as something so pedestrian as “sailboat”. It might just be a handful of geometric shapes that are up for interpretation. Or it might be a sailboat. No! Nope. Even typing it out I just can’t. This is just a random group of shapes and that’s it.
Hot on the heels of my strong suggestion last week that the men’s section should not be underestimated, here you go. A.P.C. That’s French for “Holy Crap I Can’t Believe I Found This Second Hand”.
Wear with the Betina Lou pants and the Marc Jacobs flats!
Friends, so much incredible stuff has been pouring in these days my head might explode! We are getting things out as fast as we can steam them. Here’s a peak at the back room so that your head can explode too!
Hello beloved Nokomis….

….loads of men’s stuff….
….not one but TWO Matt & Nat wallets….

Since we are so packed and busy I couldn’t give the blog as much time this week even though there is SO MUCH MORE I wanted to share with you! It’s raining Campers in the shop right now, we are planning a fun event in March, another local independent shopn on Whyte Ave. closed down, and on 124 street Salgado Fenwich (I looooooooove them!) are also closing in March and have promised VERY EXCITING new projects coming up…..just so many things happening!
I’ll be in the shop today, Thursday, Friday, and all day on Saturday. Come by and say hi and we can freak out together over all the cool things in the shop!
