Friends, I am so excited this week because we are going to do something very special! This week the blog is….The Teeny Tiny Edition!! We have so many adorable accessories in the shop right now, and you know how I love teeny, tiny things, so I want to show them ALL to you! Get ready to be embarrassed if you are reading this on the bus home from work, because you will be squealing loudly and saying “awwwwww” every 2 seconds! (But also: don’t be embarrassed! Keep being you and expressing your infectious joy loudly for all to hear!)
These little clouds look like they are cartoons! They’re so cute and happy!
Awwwww, this little tropical fish is a ring by Swarovski. It has a chain for the band, which is interesting, but to me it looks pretty delicate for my [clumsy and destructive] lifestyle. A real adult could totally wear this responsibly!
So tiny! Where’d it go?
Oh, hey!
This one was one of the inspirations for the Teeny Tiny Blog (which I thought of naming “Teeny, Tiny Thursdays”! But, you know me, friends; I need routine and structure and a blog on Wednesdays!). This adorable *tea cup* (!!!!!!) (I am dead!) totally flew under my radar because I was looking at it straight up and down in the jewelry case, so it just looked like red button or something.
Good thing I looked closer, because this is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a long time!
We all love this, right?
Now that I have learned the importance of looking closely, I noticed that these three, which we are selling seprately, are definately from the same artist and maybe were part of a set at somepoint. Also: zippers? Buttons? Yesssssss!
My favourite are the bubbles though!
This ring is actually pretty big for a ring, but it’s so cool I had to share it!
Here is the top view, to get an idea of the overall shape.
What makes this one so cool is all the crackling within the lucite!
If teacups and whimsical bubbles aren’t you thing, perhaps you would be interested in a set of pins STRAIGHT OUT OF MY NIGHTMARES. Seriously, friends, Miasma masks are real-life frightening to me -right up there with zombies- as things that actually scare the bejesus out of me! And I love the subtly snuffed out candle to really put a fine point on the mood here. Mitmunk was from Vancouver, but they are no longer around, so get these last chills while you can!
I actually have noticed this tiny lariat necklace before, but now we can explore it together!
The padlock says “Hope”! Awwwwww!
Wear as a choker, or whichever length you choose! As cute as the lock that says “Hope” is, I think what makes this one so cute is how detailed the teeny, tiny key is!
Ooooooooo, we also have a tiny special treat! These lovely little earrings and bangle are Kate Spade! I love the rose-gold (not rose-gold, tho)!
This transparent (you could say invisible) ring also falls into the “I’ve never seen anything like this” category.
It must be from the future.
And probably has magical powers. Magical powers that keep the Plague Doctors away. SHUDDER CUZ IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
Top marks for creative fusion with this bottle-cap, Botticelli-esque pin! Bottle-Celli?
Well, ok, this one is actually huge and chunky (and a beautiful green colour!), but it made it onto the Teeny, Tiny Blog becausssssssssse……….
…….it has these tiny flower clusters interspersed throughout! Awwwwwwww, right?
So, I had been taking picture of these crazy beautiful and original earrings (don’t get attached):
And, of course, I dropped one. And, OF COURSE, these have a beautiful and authentic look because they are made of glass (and magic). So, of course, it shattered all over the floor.
I was MORTIFIED. I totally for sure paid out the consignor on it (so sorry, Ann!), and she suggested that we can always sell the other one as a pendant, since it is still so special as a stand-alone piece. Soooooooo…….
…….presenting a teeny, tiny pendant! This is a GLASS pendant, friends, which may break if you drop it. But, this attention to quality of materials signals a mindful and purposeful designer, and makes for a particularly stunning finished piece. (Also, awwwwwww! Isn’t it so cute?!)
Phew, is your heart full from a fun romp through adorable little things? I’m so happy! I’ll be in on Saturday if you want to come by and look at all the little things together and point out any that I missed!
