You know what I love, friends? Getting compliments on my clothes from strangers! (Like, not in a creepy way, obviously). I have so much to share with you this week that is destined for getting compliments from strangers!
Yes, yes, this dress is fabulous, but I mostly can't get over that name of the brand name, For Love and Lemons, because I have a friend whose last name is pronounce "Lemons" (but spelt differently) and every time I read this label I think "For Love and Lemmens"! These small things bring me joy, friends. ANYWAYS, I find that this dress seems to ooze confidence somehow, and it's kind of a bit hippy-ish in the cut and with the bishop sleeves, but still seems really sophisticated. It's so gorgeous!
OK, I am so excited about this skirt, I can't even stand myself! It is so bold and so photorealistic, I don't think I have seen anything like it! I'm crazy about it! I tried this one on for you friends (who can resist!), and although it's labeled as a large, I find it to be a small-ish large.
I mean......!!!!
Weeeeeeeeeeeeee, super special treat in the shop: Smoking Lily!!! Our very favorite brand from Victoria! This wrap belt has a great flower silk screen print on one side, and a contrasting geometric green pattern on the other. So many ways to wear this one, friends!
Get ready for all the compliments you'll be getting!
But wait! There's MORE Smoking Lily!
Always glad to have you, Smoking Lily!
And then there is one of our top faves from the *other* side of the country: Preloved! In case you forgot, Preloved makes all their garments from other garments or left-over materials. Since one of the great joys of Preloved is puzzling out which pieces of a re-used item is placed where, this particular top is uncharacteristically simple. That grey heart looks like it was a knit sweater in its previous life.
And on the back check out the almost Comme des Garçons heart! I love this detail!
Your summer staple, hand-made in Spain!
Friends, it's Kate Spade central in the shop right now! I'm loving these great bright colours and patterns. I think this one totally fits in with the newly added category for types of clothes I love: patterns that look like vintage curtains! I'm going to need to see this dress on a human body, friends, because it has a peplum that I bet brings the whole dress to life!
And another bold print! This one does not say "vintage curtain" to me, but I LOVE it! The shape is the nice, easy summer silhouette we are used to, but that print is is just so lovely and unexpected. And, it's silk! *Swoon*
I love this simple geometric chevron necklace....
...but you need to get a good look at the dynamic stone here!
Adorable Oak+Fort trousers! (These are marked as a medium, but it's a small medium, friends)
The Matt and Nat Maya wristlet:
From our own Edmonton heart, Nicole Campre! I love the light pink and light grey together!
This one needs to be seen in real life, friends. The yellow is actually quite a fluorescent yellow (trust me, it works), and there is a light pink in there again too! I think you'll be getting so many compliments of this one too!
So here's that wheat skirt (worn over my dotted dress)! Do we love it, or what?
I'll be in the shop this weekend on Saturday and Sunday. Come in and say hi and talk about clothes with me!
