FINALLY we get to have a real look at this gorgeous Kate Spade dress that has been hanging around (ha! See what I did there?) the backroom! Friends, this dress is soooooo pretty! The colours are amazing, the cut is gorgeous AND it has pockets!!
I'm always so, so, SO excited to find Soia & Kyo jackets in our shop! Typically we can recognize a Soia & Kyo jacket miles away by the bold asymmetry and simple stand-out details, like contrasting piping or oversized buttons, but they are really nailing minimalism with this leather jacket!
I love the water-colour lining in this one too!
And what else did I find in the jacket section? Only a Loft 82 jacket! I'm so happy that Loft 82 finds a way to live on, friends.
And speaking of another place of pride of Edmonton, Poppy Barley! Women-owned with a strong sustainability model, we can always count on Poppy Barley for quality and attention to detail. I spent a lot of time petting the soft leather on this wristlet, fiends! (This leather looks familiar to me, and I think it might be from the same season as the Poppy Barley flats we saw on the blog last summer?)
When it comes to wallets and wristlets, you know by now that the inside is just as important as the outside for me! This is a well thought out layout that can truly function as a wristlet!
This jersey dress is from Oak+Fort....and it's BLUE! I'm loving this departure from the usual Oak+Fort black/brown/beige/grey.
Yesssssssss! I think this one speaks for itself!
So at first I was all "what is this?" about these two turntable miniatures, and it turns out that they are actually rings! (I think you could also put either of these on a chain and wear as a pendant). I just love the tiny details, I can't get enough of them!
The controller is a two-finger ring:
The square ring has a different miniature on each side. Let's explore, shall we?First there's the stereo that is just like my stereo when I was sixteen...except mine had TWO tape decks...
....headphones....
....and, my favourite side, the casette tape!
I'm really into this "acid washed" look, friends. This dress made of Lyocell, which is our favourite manufactured fibre because of its minimal environmental impact and easy wearability.
Cruella DeVille's sneakers!!
I think I'm flushing out a new category of clothes that I love, such as clothes from the future. I think I can add "Clothes that look like vintage curtains/bedsheets". Perfect example: this Sweet Chemise dress!
No peek in Red Pony is complete without some Anthropologie mentions! Lovley blue summer dress with pockets.....
.....and great halter dress (I forgot to check if it had pockets because I was too distracted by the perfectly proportioned puffy skirt)!
Last weekend when I was in the shop I was SO HAPPY to see many of you (you are all my faves!) that I felt like I hadn't seen in FOREVER!! Thanks for popping in, friends, I was so happy to catch up and chat. For our next visit let's start workshopping my new categorization of clothing: garments that look like they are made from drapes and/or bedding!
