Friends, I've got you covered this week if, like me, you're looking at your spring wardrobe and wondering how to dress yourself after this loooooong winter!
There's a very good reason that you need to be wearing this retro-vibe Beatles tee......
So that you can wear it with your Stella McCartney jacket!
As always, I'm super happy to come across anything by one of our favourite local makers: Cinder+Smoke! (Want more from Cinder+Smoke? Janna will be at the Royal Bison Art & Craft Fair this weekend along with many of our other favourite local designers and makers!)
So I was super excited by the striking flowers-and-birds print on this skirt...AND THEN someone pointed out that there are also CATS on the skirt!! Do you see them? Now is it the only thing you can see when you look at this skirt?
Friends, I don't know where to begin with these awesome Italian shoes!! This print could easily be obnoxious, and patent leather no less(!), but the muted colours and demure, timeless shape of the heel and toe make these beauties seem almost understated somehow.
Clocks and gears, I mean: why not?!
And speaking of tiny details, how about a t-shirt with a map of Paris on it!
The print continues onto the back because, well, Paris is huge!
Check it out, friends!! An awesome satchel from Gwen Stefani's brand, L.A.M.B! I'm a total sucker for satchels, so I was super stoked when I saw this one! Double snap closure on the front flap, loads of room inside and, one of my musts for satchels, a top handle!
Love! Angel! Music! Baby! (B-A-N-A-N-A-S!)
Hand print print!
I'm all about the trouser shorts: they're still just a bit unexpected, and make wearing shorts more grown-up and elegant!
I love the fluid colours of this dress! (Psst, it has a racer-back!)
Grey and yellow is one of my favourite colour-pairings (along with pink and orange! For real!). Plus, this necklace will match your new clock shoes!
Amazing ombre:
I have to be honest with you, friends, because I love and respect you: someone at Calvin Klein did not get the memo about the importance of adding pockets to all skirts, and ESPECSIALLY to poofy skirts. This was a real missed opportunity by CK. However, this skirt is so insanely gorgeous (really: the more you look at it the prettier it becomes!) that I think we can forgive this one oversight...this time!
So, was everyone as stunned, confused and saddened about Noul on Whyte closing down? I felt especially sad because I really, really believe that Edmonton, and specifically Whyte ave, needs a store like that! At the closing out sale there was a bunch of Oak+Fort stuff, and I worried that they were packing up sticks along with their sister store. So I grabbed my best Kate Spade purse and shiny, patent leather loafers so that I would blend in with the wildlife at Southgate, and I went to check it out for myself. Phew! They are still there, in their full, deconstructionist glory!
And, here, didn't I tell you:
