It's Fashion Revolution Week, friends! Pat yourselves on the back, dear friends, because as Red Pony shoppers you are already outside of the supply chain, and I promise that no human rights are ever violated with us (other than employees having to use our very creep basement bathroom designed by zombies)!
And perfect for Fashion Revolution Week, that wine-glass dress that I've been eyeing in the backroom is finally out! And guess what, it's a super ethical garment! Mata Traders are all about hand-made, fair-trade and working to advance women in India and Nepal. Their approach is super comprehensive and includes everything from fare wages and day-care to personalized support like guidance in opening a bank account or assistance with situations of domestic violence. All while making beautiful garments with pride!
I love these saddle shoes! They'll match everything you own!
Amazing vintage find, friends! At first I was all "hmmmm, a classic trench", but then I looked closer.....
...it's a heritage trench from London Fog!
This beauty also has a zip-in wool liner!!
So while the trench is more of a traditional coat with a vintage feel, this felted, "unfinished" coccoon coat by Oak+Fort is definitely from....the FUTURE!!
Perfect spring blazer!
With adorable print!
Friends, I haven't even been to the new Fluevog store on Whyte! Have you? This pair is Courtney from the I Believe High family, with solid structural features like that stacked heel, leather-welted sole and a squared-off toe.
Which family is this one from again? "I believe".
From our friends at Noul, because we are all in the same snow-covered boat and it can't last forever!
These reading glasses have gotten so much attention in the shop! They are so cute, and they even come with an elegant, cylidrical case.
I can feel the summer in this breezy Topshop top.....
....and it has this great back detail!
Cork wedges from Clarks:
Fabulous bold flowers:
This faux-croc purse is hitting some of my sweet spots, like that rich tan colour, a top handle....
....and a super cute lining!
I mean, what more needs to be said here?!
Some seriously awesome things are about to hit the floor, friends! All of these prints (mushrooms! Beetles! Eye-balls! You can even see a bit of the one with dogs in party hats!) are dresses in sizes X and XL from some of our favourite rockabilly brands!
Thanks to the friends who came in to say hi this weekend and stopped to chat about where Winners gets its goods from, how Beyoncê should have won a Grammy and where to get German shower-gel with just the right amount of scent (at the K&K)! I'll be in the store again this weekend too if you want to pop in to say hi and maybe discuss the name change of Nokomis to Vera Vêro, being obsessed with the Hamilton mixtape or what I will have scored (fingers crossed) at the gigantic Holy Trinity rummage sale on Friday night!
