OK, so I might have peed my pants a bit when I saw this Emily and Fin dress. I knew before even touching it that I was in the presence of some sort of a fashion-blog-lover's unicorn......it's a Modclothe fav AND A Clothes Horse fav, and of course.....it has pockets!
And then look! A great Smoking Lily top! Smoking Lily is turning 20 years old (can you believe it? My first Smoking Lily purchases were made at their teeny-tiny store in Victoria...15 years ago!). They are having a giveaway contest to celebrate this milestone birthday, so let's all help celebrate them....and hopefully win a $200 gift card! (Contest info here)
More Matt&Nat in the shop! This one makes my heart swell with nostalgia!
This super-cute dress has birds on it! (It's been a while since we featured something with birds on it, right?). This dress has pockets and.......
.....it ties in the back!
From one of Anthropologie's house brands, this tunic has a great curved hem-line:
Now let's talk about these lovely purses....
Let's see what the tag says inside the black purse....this tag says "I'm vintage!"! Vintage purses (and coats and gloves etc) will have a tag like this one, and here in Canada they most likely say they are from Toronto, Montreal or Halifax. I love this! I feel I can better imagine the previous life of a vintage item when it is from a Canadian city.
I was hoping to find something similar in the white beaded bag, but there was no tag, so I am very hesitant to call it vintage. (Also, it's in amazing shape for such a delicate item, so it's probably quite new). Look at the beautiful detailing on the snap-closure!
The gold baguette also has no identifying tags. But look how it opens up like the old lip-stick carriers did!
OK, another Anthropologie item. This blouse is so beautiful and understated! Plus, it's silk!
And it has a great back!
Friends, believe it or not, this dress is from our friends at Noul! It's not usually what I expect from them (a pattern! A floral pattern!), but it is absolutely lovely. Also: pockets!
Oooooo, I hummed and hawed over this great purse! I love a purse that can stand up and has lots of compartments, and this guy does it all!
There are 3 (three!) large, top loading zippered compartments. And check out the cute zip pulls:
While we are at it, the purse would look great with this Mac and Jac dress:
This shirt already says it all:
These Gap t-shirts are both NWT!
So there I was, trying to decide on that fabulous zippered purse, or this amazing Ralph Lauren bucket bag:
Look at the beautiful embroidered details on this blouse from Topshop! So feminine!
This dress reminded me of my great-grandmother for some reason. I think she would love it. Come to think of it, wouldn't your grandmother also say to you "How colourful!" or, more likely, "It's so nice to see you wearing COLOURS"?
I found another great hand-made garment in the shop! The fabric choices are perfect!
The buttons are a wonderful match, and check out the contrasting piping on the sleeve:
I couldn't not share with you that we have a pair of new Lululemon pants in the shop. Come and get 'em!
And pinterest nails it:
