Let's take a moment to put on our grown-up panties to go with this very grown-up Ted Baker dress:
It has these super chic covered cut-outs around the collarbone.....
....and an exposed zipper!
I was actually really REALLY excited to have a Rag&Bone in the shop! Surprisingly, it just looks like a regular t-shirt. But, you guys, IT'S RAG&BONE!
This Lucky Brand sweater is NWT, and the more I looked at it the more I just absolutely fell in love with it. I love the light beige/oat colour.....
...the delicate, finely knit chevron pattern.....
...and the amazing back! I love wee buttons, and check out the curved hem at the bottom. Stunning!
How about some lovely red, patent leather shoes?
This J Crew dress is even more amazing in person, friends. It's lined, so it has that great weight to it and makes that swooshy sound when you walk. And of course it has pockets!
This jersey cape is one of the best finds I've had in a while. The brand is Voilà par Andréanne out of Manitoba. The designer is Franco-Manitoban and Aboriginal, the garments are made locally out of organic fibres and even the dyes are environmentally friendly! The company is very vigilant about environmental affects of production, and are very active in community development. Hurray!
The print on this cape is called "The Scrimshaw Birch" from Voilà's Heritage Print series that takes inspiration from traditional Aboriginal art; this birch image would have traditionally been carved into bone and darkened in with soot. It was hand drawn by local Manitoban Aboriginal artist David Albert. PHEW! You know I love a garment with a story, and this one sure delivers!
Not birds...not stars...not even ponies.....
....it's a boat shirt! How refreshing!
In case I haven't mentioned it before, I love orange! It's an unexpected and unusual colour in fashion, so I gravitate towards it when I find something orange. In this case, an orange leather Italian purse!
This lovey sea-foam green dress by Jacob:
Now, there are no tags on this dress, but the zipper shows the brand name: Gucci. I'm going to go out on a limb here, friends, and state flat out that this is likely NOT the Italian luxury brand Gucci. Ha! Nonetheless, this is a super cute dress!
Gucci with a cat print!
And an exposed zipper!
We have to stay with cats...just look at this shirt!
It's fully lined in white fleece, and even the cuffs, collars and pockets are fleece!
And don't these cat faces totally look like the character Frank in the movie "Frank"?
(How can I mention a cat shirt without bringing up my old friend: the Aritzia Pet Peeve shirt!)
These Kenneth Cole suede boots have a nice rubber wedge heel:
We have a garden wedding to go to this summer, and I was thinking this lovely dress would be perfect for wearing with lawn-friendly silver flats!
I love the elegant print on this tunic:
OK, now how adorable are these shorts?!
Or throw this cute polka-dot cover-up over your cut-off shorts!
This Lululemon tank looks brand new to me (although doesn't have any new tags on it, so who knows). Lululemon is always good for some interesting geometry in its fashion, and this one steps up.
Approving head nod and slow clap for the back of this tank!
Match it up with this Lululemon skirt:
...Because, you know, I never know which skirt to wear to my yoga class!
My recommendation of the week: go watch Frank (it's on Netflix!).
