Well, friends, since time is now a flat circle I am hoping I can convince you that it has only been one week since you last read the weekly blog. If your concept of time is more acute than this though, I refer you to my consistent, stead-fast laziness that you have become used to over the years, in which case this is no surprise.
So for today, here’s what’s up at Red Pony!
This week, one of our favourite consignors came in with a whole bunch of cool stuff (she has lots of Salgado Fenwick and ModCloth and that kind of stuff), which was exciting. We also had a cool intake with lots of PreLoved, and there were even 2 “matching” shirts (insofar as Preloved -who uses only repurposed materials- can have anything matching) in different colours and I said to Alex “One for each of us! We can be twins!” (twining with Alex is one of my favourite things ever!). Friends, she looked at me so coldly and spat out “WHAT?”, and I was so embarrassed and kinda mumbled “oh, haha, nothing, I don't like twinning, it would be so lame to have the same shirt hahahahaha nothing” and then she said “You think I would SHARE these with you? I just want both the shirts FOR MYSELF”. Pffft, Alex may talk softly in a cute accent, but getting between her and a shirt with a heart on it is like my spouse trying to get me to share a Blizzard after he announces we should get 2 different flavours and switch half-way through.
Hey, my daughter made a very funny joke! She’s still young enough that sometimes a joke is just “Pickle car”, but sometimes she nails it. She was explaining to me how there are retro themed diners (since I am a Very Old Vampire I conjured up 60’s themed diners, even though she specifically said “90’s themed diners”) and how maybe in the future there will be 20’s themed diners (again, “20’s themed” does not mean the same to me as it does to her)....and they’ll just be closed.
Alex and I are both super stoked for Royal Bison this weekend, and since we both like many of the same vendors the Twinning Index is about to go up!
Red Pony is still open Thurs-Sat, and you can visit with Alex on Thursdays and Fridays, and with me (THE FUNNY ONE) on Fridays and Saturdays.
