Good news, friends! The lines in the parking lot have been repainted properly to indicate angle parking! Phew! However, Alarm Dude is not as fast as Parking Lot Dude, so the alarm-pad-above-the-vintage-faceplate debacle hasn’t yet been resolved, but we are just going to MOVE FORWARD LIKE IT’S NOT A BIG DEAL (but I want you to know that I KNOW it’s a red wall in the pics this week) because there are so many cute pieces I want to share with you!
I finally get to show you the chair skirt!!!
It’s been a while since I’ve been so excited about a print! I love that they chose to do these in colours, rather than just black ink. Actually, I would love it in black ink too!
My favourite is this “instructional” image…..tellinng us to…flip the chair over?
I am also totally bonkers over this sweater!! I love the 80s vibe with the crop and white knit….
…..and the incandescent coloured disks!! Friends, how cute and original is this, but without being cheesy?!
I just cannot get enough of this!!
Weeeee, these geometric earrings are clearly from the future!
These are post earrings, and both the circles are on eyes on the bar, so they move in unison but don’t actually bounce around.
Now for a speacial treat: a Mackage leather jacket! (Colour fact-check: this jacket is black)
That faux-stitching on the shoulder and down the arm really softens up the rough/industrial feel of a bomber jacket.
And, oooooooooo, check out the lining:
Watch out, a wasp!
And while we are hanging in Aritzia…… (Colour fact-check: these pants are navy blue with white stripes)
MORE stuff from the future: golden space shoes!
Friends, this dress is so rad! The bodice has boning, and the skirting is kind of stiff, so it makes very satisfying swooshing sounds when you walk around. And, hurray, it has pockets!
There are no origin tags on this one (although it is printed on an American Apparel t-shirt) and I wish we knew because……
….it’s teaching us about astronomy!
This t-shirt isn’t teaching us anything…..
….but it does have little Dachshunds on it! (Stubborn, clever, lively, devoted, playful and courageous)
Although it may seem like I am obsessed with Kate Middleton, let me clarify: I am not. I like her a normal amount. When I had a real job in a real office I, um, seemed to have considerable more time to look at fashion things on the internet (like you are doing now!), so when Kate Middleton and her spouse came to Canada 2011 I, like you, ended up following what she was wearing very closely. And this vintage leaf brooch (which is awesome, btw) totally reminds me of the [ahem, diamond] maple leaf pin she wore during that visit!
Floral midi-dress:
With bell sleeves!
I’m just here for the alligator…
….and the cats!
(My brother says cats don’t meow at each other, they meow at humans to get us to do things for them.)
And from the sale section: green Hudson jeans that were already only $30 and are on sale now for chk-arg-k-k-ah-dd -Sorry, I just died there for a moment!
Friends, did you see that we are having a sale this week? We couldn’t decide what kind of a sale we should have, so we just combined a couple together. Soooooooooo, it’s spend $100 and get a $25 gift card PLUS everything is 10% off.
We are open on Mondays, friends, except we are closed this Monday July 1st. I will be in the shop on Saturday though, so come by for a visit and we can talk about geometry, the solar system and the fact that I didn’t realize Kate Middleton had come back for a second visit in 2016!
