To start things off, friends, did you see we are having that awesome sale this week? (Get a $25 gift card when you spend $100). I'm sure I don't have to maths you to convince you how awesome this one is! Plus, there is so much great stuff in the shop, you'll get to $100 no problem!
Doesn't this skirt remind you of Preloved? It's from Anthropologie, with a collage of 4 different fabrics:
I love all the fabric choices, but check out the one with castles on it!
A grown-up yet playful spring blouse with....
...flamingos! And occasional hearts!
Friends, I'm so into these shoes! This is the perfect alternative to ballet flats for days when you think ballerina flats are too sweet, but the heel and the shiny patent leather keep these looking feminine!
This French cardigan is wool (check!), but, obviously, the whimsical apple is the thing we are most excited about, amiright? I feel like the cut of the cadigan and the simplicity of the apple (flat red...and just the fact that it's an apple) give it a bit of a vintage air. I love the whole package!
Exciting special treat this week: a silk skirt from Chloé! I love the gorgeous saturation of colour and the almost brushstroke look of the pattern. Plus, did you see: it has pockets!
The Peter O. Mahler lookbook for S/S is like a [fancy] version of my Pinterest style board! All asymmetrical garments and clothes that look like they are from the future! The coat we have in shop right now is totally nailing my from-the-future the category, while simultaniously hitting another of my favourite categories: clothes that look like labcoats!
Plus, minimalist, assymetrical space-pocket from the future!
Hey, I think we had these similar boots in the store this fall, but all Fluevogs in the shop get an honourable mention on the blog! From the Fellowship family (from which I have 3 pairs myself) are the Rogue boots! These ones are a soft grey leather, with lovely brogue detail and a spool heel. They don't carry these anymore, so get them when you see them! (I have these in brown!)
Here's the Fellowship family's message:
This unexpected dress is from...Banana Republic! For reals! I guess I'm just not used to seeing this kind of shape (kinda vintage with a flared skirt) or this kind of pattern (white on black in the centre, black on white on the sides!) from them. Put together this whole look is daring, yet unobtrusive and easy to wear. Well done, Banana Republic!
Yes, friends, I *did* button this cardigan properly (although, to be honest, I had to check!),. The stripes purposefully do not line up! A unique cardigan that doesb't take it's self too seriously!
Simple, minimalist white leather tote from Madewell:
What a great shape for a denim shirt-dress!
Simple, white cotton top from Edmonton's own Nicole Campre of Workhall:
Friends, there is something so elegant and effortless in this Christian Berg blazer! It's classic, yet there is an easy, lived-in element to it. And those pleated pockets are adorable!
You know what else I love, friends? Garments that are made of fabric that looks like vintage curtains or sheets! Like this cute top!
Cashmere. A finely knit, 100% cashmere sweater dress. Cashmere. Enough said?
I've shared my Fellowship Family before, but this weekend it just so happened that my friend Jen was wearing her AWESOME new Fluevogs to what ended up being the funnest kid birthday party ever! They were so cool, I have to share with you...
Jen's boots are called Rosy from the Hopeful family:
Their message is "F is for all the things that bring you hope"
Look how cute her whole outfit is! I couldn't stop complimenting her!
I'll be in the shop this weekend, friends, and I can't wait to see all your choices to make it to $100 dollars! It's going to be so fun!
