Burberry, Alexander McQueen, Eileen Fisher plus faves Oak+Fort and Salgado Fenwick! So many special treats this week, friends!
Can't wait to see the Alexander McQueen? How do silk and skulls sound?
(In my head I keep saying "Steve McQueen"!)
From Oak+Fort this week is a casual, cocoon um, sweatshirt(?)/sporty jacket type thing! Although I don't know how to describe it, I'm loving a new take on the cocoon coat. It's unexpected and fashion forward!
Thanks for the futuristic little arm-pocket, Oak+Fort!
I am soothed by this sweater dress from Aritzia:
Now, this dress feels like something Oak+Fort would put out, but this one is from Minnesota indie label Hackwith Design House. I am fascinated by this team now, friends! I love when a brand web-site shows us who is making the clothes; even better when they show us where they are made (in this case a beautiful, airy studio with loads of natural light!)!
The fabric for this dress looks like it is hand-dyed and one-of-a-kind, but I couldn't find any info to back up my hunch about this. Isn't it lovely?
Thanks for the pocket, Hackwith Design House!
Here are the gorgeous, navy, wide-leg Burberry trousers:
All I can think to say about these earings is "Oooooooo! Pretty colours"!
I feel like this simple plaid dress is the type that you wear all year round:
From our friends on 124 street, super soft, raglan Salgado Fenwick sweater with their signature Edmonton Crest!
Classic, black flat boots:
Another faux two-piece dress!
I love the seagulls!
Since faux two-piece dresses like this tend to look <<sad trombone>> on the hanger, look how great it can look on a real human! (No worries friends, this one can still be yours; Red Pony friend Laura felt this was too short for her comfort level, but agreed to let me take a pic because it looks so great!)
For the ever loyal and patient Eileen Fisher fans:
The beige top is a simple t-shirt, but the grey one has a little more going on. Here's the back:
And for me because I have been so patient, it's time to knit-geek over this beautiful, merino cable knit sweater from Inis Crafts! Again, I could not find any definitive proof that this is hand knit, but, I mean, come on....
Now, before we gleefully examine the construction and craftship, I do just want to point out the very feminine and flattering shape of this sweater. Rather than being a typical oversized, boxy fisherman sweater, it has a fitted form, an elongated, more contemporary length and pockets! (Thanks for the pockets, Inis Crafts!)
Just look at all the different cable work and texture! This is amazing!
And check out the pattern across the chest, and the perfectly executed faux-cabling on the neck band. Sigh. Swoon. Dramatic teardrop.
And for those who bothered to check out the link to the Hackwith Design House studio, did you see what Julia the seamstress was wearing in the top photo?!
There are so many exciting things in the back room right now, friends! Owls, hot air balloons, ribbons, bicycles (not the same as the one on our IG...this is even MORE bicycles!) and pineapples!
We're get ready for spring! Weeeeeeeeeee!
Although new friend Laura did not take that shorter Lush dress, she did get this other faux two-piece from the blog a couple of weeks ago. This looks so stunning on her, it is so much more dynamic and elegant than I expected it to be! I love the way it drapes at the top! (Thanks Laura!)
