I want us all to prepare ourselves emotionally, friends, for the fact that I will be taking two weeks off from the blog after today. I'm trying not to let the FOMO get to me (what if the most awesome piece EVER comes through the shop and I miss it?!?!), so let's enjoy this week's finds!
Sometimes I find that ombré tops look like they are just, um, dirty, but this top is so well done that it looks like I took the picture partly in the shade or something!
Who can resist a chunky cowl!
OK, years ago I went through a fabulous rockabilly phase: long black hair, Betty Page bangs, working on a sleeve etc. (Arg, no photos! Sorry, I think they've fallen into that gaping crack between digital cameras and smart phones). So I always smile whimsically when we get these kinds of dresses in the shop:
And, yes, this great sailor dress has pockets!
The tags are still on this one, so I can tell you it came from funky, Calgary independent shop Blame Betty (great name!), which is locally-owned by Kati. Check them out next time you are down in Calgary!
So you know how I have very particular wallet needs? (Must be large enough to fit all my cards and all the cards of everyone in my family, and it's kept in a secret safe in my basement protected by tamed zombies). This Fossil wallet is perfect! I love the colourful, yet grown-up, pattern....
...and look at all the room inside!
Plus the signature Fossil key:
How adorable are these jeans?! And, hey, on top of fairly detailed environmental-protection practices on their production line, AG also has a very rigorous anti-human trafficking/anti-slavery protocol in place. Always good to shine a light!
You know, I'm going ahead with the slow-clap and approving head-nod to these great suede and leather Puma boots:
My favourite part of this elegant top is.....
...the feather trim!!
Coach party! (The tote is gold!)
Lovely silk top (see that adorable pocket on the front?):
This is no ordinary tablet sleeve! I love the colours, and the pebbled leather is super buttery and soft!
Although this wool sweater does look like a vintage granny sweater, it's actually from Anthropologie...
...and here's its hilarious tag:
The snow looked pretty out, so I tried to take a geometrical artsy shot of these boots. Can you sense through this picture my fear of dropping my phone into the sewer grate?! Eeek!
There will be no blog for the next two weeks, friends. I'm going out of town (I'm going on a yarn crawl! Yes, it's exactly what it sounds like). We are just taking carry-on luggage on the plane...which completely confounds me! I am a very old vampire and my skin care arsenal ALONE will fill the whole carry-on luggage! I'll be back with the blog February 1, and meanwhile Red Pony is open while I'm away, so come down and check out the best things ever while I'm gone!
