This is it! The fashionista consignment shopper's ultimate prize! That's right, friends, it's Soïa & Kyo! And we have TWO of them in the shop!
First up is this amazing leather number:
At first I didn't even notice the feminine leather bow in the back:
One of the great things about Soïa & Kyo's designs is that all the structural elements, like buttoning into a high collar, have a practical purpose and serve a function, as opposed to some brands that add structural vanity details which look neat but serve no practical purpose. (Side eyeball to you, Matt&Nat). (OMG nonono, I take it back! I love you Matt&Nat!! Just the way you are!!).
And then we have the red Soïa & Kyo. I was trying to explain to Rod how amazing these pieces are, and I kept pressing "And it's Red! RED!". There is just something about a red coat, amiright?
With a lovely lining and practical inside pocket:
And this guy also looks cute buttoned all the way up to the top!
We've got lots of tall boots in the store right now, friends! Like these Hispanitas boots which are lovingly made in Spain:
Look closely at the print on this shirt from chez Simons.....
.....it's a horse print!
A great Sex Pistols shirt!
Remember a few weeks ago when I said that collar necklace would look awesome with a t-shirt? Ta-dah!
This awesome chunky cowl was a hit on our Instagram this week. (Are you following us? @redpony109). It so soft, friends, that it's almost gooey!
So you know how I love looking at labels, right? This next piece is totally mocking me with it's cut label!
Unless this label said "Made of polar bear and 5 bee colonies", there is nothing to be ashamed of! I'm thinking this one is from France where it is common practice to remove higher-end labels in this manner in order to sell them at a discount store.
But onto the garment! The sleeves on this tunic look like they should be crunchy or crinkly....
....but they are actually soft and feathery. I have no idea what it is, but I think it might be some sort of recycled material. Or maybe it IS made of polar bear and bees!
A distressed shirt from Maison Scotch:
This Gap shirt is called "the boyfriend shirt". Really, Gap? Must we be so heterosexist in naming our styles? Can't it just be called "a shirt". Or how about a "you are awesome and your personal style is in no way defined by your relationship status which is none of our business anyways" shirt?
But this shirt is special because if you look closely....little foxes!
Usually an eyelet skirt is a summer garment, but since this one is black with a rust-orange slip instead to the regular white on white, it's perfect for fall!
You can never have too many leopard print, kitten heel shoes!
Wasn't I just recently praising Cloth+Stone for nailing the perfect chambray? Here is another one!
This elegant sweater is 100% merino!
These tunics are going straight to my friend Aliya's pinterest board. (Honk if you know Aliya! Beep beep!)
There's lots of stuff in the backroom getting ready to come out. Here's a peek:
We went to a lovely wedding last weekend and I wore the simple D'Ange dress that I scored at the beginning of summer after showing it on the blog.
For vintage lovers out there, here is pic of my vintage beaded bag and my great-grandmother's pink-gold watch! The watch was sitting the safe for about a million years, waiting for me to get a new battery put in. One day I had a forehead-slap moment when I realised that all I had to do was wind the watch!
