As expected, when I stepped away for one week there was massive turnover at the shop and so many amazing things came out! (And the backroom is bursting with great new stock too!)
First, this outfit (which I can't take credit for, it was already on the mannequin when I came in. But it's so perfect, isn't it?) is actually two pieces: a great peach strapless top (with exposed zipper in the back), and a bold floral skirt -with pockets(!)- from Anthropologie:
Alice and Olivia top; Size M, $26. Maeve skirt; Size 4, $28. Necklace, $10
Also from Anthropologie this adorable green and lace jacket:
Cartonnier jacket; Size S, $52
Can you see the great scalloped pockets?!
Although I have discussed how Frye boots just don't work for me, I still love what the brand produces. These are a Coach and Frye collaboration (who knew they were even friends?!). It's the traditional Veronica boot by Frye, and I'm thinking the chique metalic wash is Coach's contribution:
Coach x Frye boots; S7, $95
This beautiful shrug was actually the first thing that grabbed my attention when I came in. The satin material, and the elegant coral on black print are stunning!
Tabitha top; Size S, $32
How's the colour on your screen? Because I'm crazy for this light, sea-foam green colour; it's so perfectly ethereal!
Naked Zebra dress; Size M, $28
Over at Matt Bernson they only use "small-batch" materials, which means there are fewer of the same items floating around in the world. I can totally see how there wouldn't be another pair of sandals out there exactly the same as these!
Matt Bernson sandals; S6, $42
Hey look! Another dress from Anthropologie! I can't help it, I'm such a sucker for this type of vintage cut (plus it has pockets!)!
Moulinette Soeurs dress; Size 10, $40
I forgot to take a picture of this tag....it's a Paper Crane top, with a bird print on it!
Paper Crane top; Size S, $16
I can't wait for summer to show off backs of things like this!
Paper Crane back
This bag is a Lululemon beach bag, and true to Lululemon form has all sorts of pockets and pull-outs in it. In fact, the entire inner-bag comes out to be a bag on it's own!
Lululemon bag, $38
I'm loving the bold colours on this dress, plus it's silk!
J Crew dress; Size 10, $48
Friends, you know how I love a shot of orange in fashion: such an unexpected colour. And you also know I love a bag that can stand up on its own. Well, ta-dah!
Nine West bag, $26
This charming faux-two-piece dress with a scalloped, beaded and lace peter-pan collar:
Monteau dress; Size S, $28. Kate Spade purse, $150
I just love the sleek, thick, modern straps on the otherwise classic shape of these Steve Madden wedges!
Steve Madden shoes; S6, $40
Sheesh, I know: we're like an Anthropologie outlet this week! But there are always sustainable, unique and known-origin gems to be found, like this great dress from British fair-trade company Nomads:
Nomad dress; Size M, $26
And for a vegan, water-proof (and super-adorable!) sensible shoe:
Jambu shoes; S6, $34
And now, the moment we have been waiting for....a peek at the back room!
I'm waiting for the green polka-dot thing, and the blue and white wash number!
Then on the other side of the room: a whole other rack!
Yes, we see you Matt & Nat!
And I peeked at the apple print dress behind the Matt & Nat....it's Emily and Finn!!
Can't wait to officially meet you, apple dress!
I was away last week visiting my friend Laura in Saskatoon, staying up late in our sweat-pants and catching up on "Girls"!
(Remember Laura from that old picture in one of the blog posts back in November?!)
