I tried this Oak+Fort top on for you, and then I realised that you shouldn't just wear it with a discrete bandeau; it would look way cooler worn over a slightly boxy t-shirt or a button down, collared white shirt. Seriously, take a moment to picture it and you will see I'm right!
And this beautiful dress is a lovely minty-green colour:
The back detail here is super simple, but it gives the dress structure and a touch of elegance that really makes the garment.
I love how beautiful and classic these shoes are:
I couldn't resist sharing this black fleecy sweater from conscious Montreal brand OÖM. Their clothes are designed and made in Canada, and the creators are dedicated to ethically made clothing with a gentle impact on the environment. They also believe in participating in their community, and a percentage of each sale goes towards programmes that make a positive impact on their community (like breakfast programmes!). AND THEN, if you feel the time has come when you are finished with your garment, you can send it back to them and they will recycle the material and make new garments from it!!!
It's a simple black sweater, but a subtle detail like the tulip collar makes it unique:
OÖM explains how "behind each red button is an ethical philosophy offering consumers the opportunity to wear their conscience, expressing themselves through clothing that reflects their personal values". And here is the red button:
Do you know what's probably missing from your wardrobe? Over-the-knee rubber boots!
Both these shirts from Aritzia are 100% silk (nice!) and they are sisters with the same lacing at the hem:
I love the vintage silhouette of this dress, plus the nice, casual, breezy feel of it....
...and even the tag has a sweet message!
These espadrilles are hand-made in Spain! NBD....
This shirt got lots of love on our Instagram this week, so I thought I would delve into the men's section for a couple other gems.
Vintage cowboy shirt with "manly" flowers and mother-of-pearl snap buttons:
And check out the geometrically-scalloped pockets!
And for the cowboy-shirt trifecta, this Wrangler shirt with horses, paisleys AND mother-of-pearl snaps!
Plus the horses go all the way across the back!
At Red Pony, we know cowboys:
Given Noul's usually minimalist style, I was surprised to find that this lovely tunic has...pockets!
This lovey brown blouse totally fits into my Art Instructor collection!
...and look at the wee buttons!
Another great simple summer dress from our friends at Dace in Vancouver:
Friends! It's a shirt with birds on it!
This shirt has those shoulder cut-outs, but really this shirt is all about the fabulous back:
This dress has an amazingly elegant shape, and the sweet-heart neckline covered over with lace as well as the three-quarter length sleeves make me swoon!
So the printer at the shop wasn't working for a couple of days, so no tags were printed on those days. Which means the backroom is ready to burst! Here is what I peeked:
