I found a bunch of tops with cute prints this week! First off, horses:
Cats wearing tuxedo ties:
And elephants!
No birds in sight this week. But.....we've got stars!
This dress looks alot like ModCloth's popular Couch Tour dress, but its actually a product of Canadian company Broken Doll Clothing.
Here is one that was peeking out at us last week from the back room, and it does not disappoint!
I had thought it was a tweed or wool type material, but it's actually a nubby kind of coton, and it's lined so it's perfect for those more brisk spring days.
This amazing Edme & Esyllte dress (hmmm....the link got buried on Anthropologie, but here's a link to a cute OOTD blog with the author wearing the dress) is also fully lined, and has great little details like hanky-tied sleeves and a full skirt. I tried it on and it has the most amazing 1950s silhouette. (Just a bit tight in the shoulders on me, though, or I would have scooped this one up!)
Here is a closer look at another dress that was in-waiting in the backroom last week...it's 100% silk! You know how I love that!
And what else do we have in silk? These jewel-tone pants from local designer Maggie Walt! Now, here's a little story about these pants: we had an editor and photographer from a magazine in the store this week (more details in a few weeks, I promise!), and the editor created a whole outfit with these pants by pairing them with purple shoes, a denim bustier and a blazer. It looked incredibly stunning, and I would never have thought of it! Ultimately they went with some different outfits for the fashion shoot (I KNOW! A fashion shoot! So exciting!), but these pants have taken on a whole new life to me!
This luscious little dress is purple velvet! Prince would approve.
Check out these fierce heels...Prince would also approve!
Here is a great go-everywhere tunic by French company Red Soul:
While we are on the continent, we have a Desigual sweater in the store. I find that fans of Desigual are a unique group: one never just likes Desigual, you love Disegual!
This darling Floreat dress is full of unique details, but stays classic thanks to it's shape...
Remember the yachting dress from last week? Here's another one! The peacock blue of this crepe dress is amazing...
Last one from last week's back-room: this lovely cotton summer dress!
Eeeek! This awesome jellyfish, jersey skirt has no origin tags; I think it might be one of a kind! The jellyfish print is excellently executed.
