The shop is just bursting with awesome stuff right, friends! I thought of doing an all LBD post (we have so many perfect little black dresses in right now!), but I came across too many stellar finds to share with you that I couldn't limit myself to just the LBDs!
So let's talk about my love affair with mustard-yellow. You already know how I love garments that are orange, because it is such an unexpected palette in clothes. Sadly (really: I am very sad about this), orange does not look good on me. Mustard-yellow, however, looks great on me (et ma mère)!
Hello suede mustard-yellow boots! Would it surprise you to learn that I already own a pair of suede mustard yellow boots? They unexpectedly match so many outfits that I had to retire them for a while because I felt I was neglecting my other boots!
Bronx boots; S7, $78
From great Canadian reclaim brand Preloved we have this skirt, which, coming from Preloved, we know is a one-of-a-kind item:
Preloved skirt; Size XS, $30
And check out the vintage fabric contrasting lining:
We love you Preloved!
The leather of this Fossil cross-body bucket bag is super soft and buttery. It's top-loading with a magnetic closure, but let's face it, what really makes this bag awesome is the gorgeous baby-blue colour!
Fossil purse, $58
I'm kinda crazy about these funky blue shoes from Urban Outfitters! I love the faux-orthopaedic look, and I'm always on the lookout for some that have just the right splash of style to differentiate them from true orthopaedic shoes. (Ironically, when I'm looking for actual sensible shoes, I want them to look as far from traditional therapeutic footwear as possible!). The colour (blue again!), the wooden wedge heel and the single eyelet row are subtle enough touches that these totally read as a conscious fashion choice!
Ecoté shoes; S8, $45
This structured Storm London hold-all has chunky zippers and little feet (my favourite bag detail!):
Storm London bag; $30
And here's a look at the wooly coat:
Osley coat; Size S, $42
It's always a treat to have Matt & Nat in the shop...we actually have TWO Matt & Nat purses in right now! Here's the Jorja:

Look! More mustard yellow!
Aryeh dress; Size S, $32
And this sweet gold necklace, hand-made from locally sources stones by Salt Spring Island's Darling Gems. (This necklace would make a great birthday gift)
Darling Gems necklace, $40
These stunning boots are super tall and super stylish.....
Grey boots; S7, $68
...but I can't make out the brand! It's scrolley like Sam Edelman, but I'm just not sure. Any guesses?
Inside the mystery boot....who designed you?!
Stripey dresses:
A great pair of Spanish Pikolinos:
Pikolinos boots; S8.5, $95
We still have that amazing red Kate Spade purse from two weeks ago (XXXVI) in the shop, and now another Kate Spade has come along to join it!

The magical red pea coat!
Mexx coat; Size L, $72. Scarf, $16
Delicate, tiny leaf necklace:
Leaf necklace, $20
From the front, these Rockport boots just look like ordinary black dress boots. But the back of the boot is so intriguing! And it case you think these high heels would be painful, Rockport are actually a traditional sport-shoe company, and they integrated all that running-shoe tech into their fancy high heels!
Rockport boots; S8.5, $75
What are you wearing to your staff xmas party? How about something like this:
Lucy&Co skirt; Size S, $32. Ann Taylor top; Size M, $22; Bandolino shoes; S8, $28
Or this elegant navy jumpsuit:
Jump suit; Size L, $36. Necklace, $28
Or one of two chique Jacob faux-wrap dresses:
Black Jacob dress; Size S, $28. Blue Jacob dress; Size XS, $32
While I was looking through the clothes this week, this happened:
Eeek! An entire bar of the sweater rack snapped off, and everything came crashing down! Not to sound too much like my 7 year old, but: I didn't even touch it!! I had already gone through that rack just moments prior and had moved on to the left rack when the right one fell. Also like my 7 year old, my next instinct was just to leave the mess behind and not pick it up! Ha! (But I did pick everything up and put it all on a temporary rack even though it wasn't my fault).
So now this is happening:
