Wouldn't you know it, friends: the coolest stuff came through the shop while I was away for a few days! When I got back from my trip it was as if I was discovering Red Pony for the first time, and I was flitting all over the place gasping at all the great stuff. (I'm super intense and charming like that!)
I know some friends come to the shop specifically looking for Kate Spade, so, as promised, here's your heads up. As we know, Kate Spade purses travel in flocks to Red Pony, so I expect we will have a few more in the shop before the end of the month!
I'm so happy that I roped a total stranger into modeling these Lucky Brand booties. I love the perforations and how they cut at the ankle!
Do I even need to explain why I'm so delighted by this Anthropologie cardigan (which, by the way, is adorably called "The Road Game Cardigan")?!
I mean, come on! The slightly hazy VW bugs, and the contrasting mustard yellow edging and button band...I couldn't even dream this up, friends!
(Also, I love the super cute tag!):
Peep-toe and sling-back usually signals a more vintage look, but these Michael Kors wedges definitely have a more contemporary feel:
In my head I was referring to these as "atom earrings". Atoms, however, look nothing like this:
It's like a cape (and I love me a good cape!), but it hangs in the front! Yet this silk dress still reads as "simple" to me:
How fabulous are these Poppy Barley flats?! The contrasting front and back is genius, and the delicate ankle strap is the icing on the pseudo-D'Orsay cake!
It's been a while since we've had some Valérie Dumaine in the shop. This lovely dress, like all Valérie Dumaine, was designed and manufactured in Montreal!
Peacock feather earrings!
This exquisite BCBG dress is so mysterious and engaging....
...with asymmetric pleating on just one shoulder....
...and the hidden pop of red under the button band....
...and then another hidden panel of red at the skirting!
Oh, just some Prada shoes, nbd:
For the Desigual lovers (you know who you are!):
As always, in case there was any doubt:
So, for her birthday, Red Pony fan Pam invited some friends to come hang out in the shop after hours, eat snacks, try on clothes etc. I tricked some of them into letting me take pictures of their finds to post on the internet! (Kidding! Everyone gave their ok, I promise!)
Can you believe this great house-print dress lasted a day in the shop?!
Do you see that pendant Ashley is wearing? It was her grandmother's, who had taken a Dutch coin and had it set in that casing in the 60s...and now Ashley says she wears it all the time, and it goes with everything! A unique piece, authentic vintage, meaningful family heirloom getting a new life?! LOVE IT! I wish I had taken a close-up to share with you!
But I did take a close-up of the great print on the dress:
Jen picked up this great Cinder+Smoke dress (yes, it's a one-piece!):
Here is the bird-print dress that we saw peeking out from the back room! It's even lovlier than I imagined!
Remember this Club Monaco silk AND wool dress from a couple weeks ago?
And the cape-shirt from the future from last time! The fit is different from what I was expecting, and it's incredible! (Ashley also picked up that wooly tunic from the future with the pockets)
Thanks to Pam and all her friends, I loved meeting you all!
(If you like soft cheeses and want your own Red Pony night with your friends, just email me!)
Special thanks to my new BFFs Taycla and Menika for modeling the shoes this week!
