Alright friends, lets start with our intriguing cliff-hangers from last week! Remember this bold print from the backroom? I assumed it would be some sort of kaftan or flowey tunic, but it's actually an amazing strapless Vero Moda dress!
Then there was this jaguar-print top:
This pendant was hanging on a mannequin in the window and it blew my mind with its awesomeness! It is totally channelling Captain Cook (except that the watch is decorative, and Captain Cook would have been far too practical to wear a turquoise watch pendant that doesn't tell time!).
I love everything about this pendant! I love the turquoise bead, the Australian map....
..... and the back side of the watch is just as gorgeous as the face:
Do you see what I see? Yessssss, it's a mermaid!
(Quick disclosure: I have a similar vintage watch pendant thing, and I know they are made by a local Edmonton maker, but for the life on me I can't remember her name! Let me know if you happen know who I'm talking about; I would love to credit her!).
Friends, these are the boots of your Pinterest dreams!
At first I thought this dress was just a charming, simple summer dress (that is lined for maximum swooshiness)....
....but up close the pattern includes text! It reads "After a few months of military service Corot and the romantic painters". (I found no evidence that French painter Jean-Baptiste Corot did his military service. But Captain Cook sure did!)
I love this great bird necklace!
(Note to friends: it's a necklace not a pendant)
There is more to this lovely flowered top than meets the eye....
It's reversible!
I love the edgy colour of these feather earrings:
Check out the unexpected contrast colour edging on this hi-low Buffalo dress:
This dress could have been a regular brown dress, but the pops of colour really make it unique!
I love me a good satchel, especially one with a proper top handle!
Some rompers look quite casual, but this one from Aritzia is so elegant!
Check out the super feminine straps and back!
The amazing Pins and Needles hat has an elastic that can go around the back of your head to keep it in place. It's stunning!
Just a reminder of how awesome you are:
From the men's section, these cool, cream-coloured LL Bean shoes:
So this tote has a huge SQUARE footprint and it stands up by itself (which is big plus with me!)!
Aha! I found another amazing hand-made garment!
Check out the zipper in the back! Love it!
This structured skirt was made by sewing long strips of fabric together horizontally in tiers. Here is the inside for those of you like me who want to see how it's made:
I don't know what type of fabric this is, though. It very possibly comes from the future. It's a lightweight, stretchy textured material. I thought it could even stand by itself...and I was right!
And it is time, friends, for me to gently ease you into the fall clothing season with this lovely Banana Republic vest:
