Well friends, wedding season is ON! I love the colour of this golden dress; with a matching hat* and closed-toe pumps you could wear it to a royal wedding. And it has a great back which takes it down a notch from being super-uptight to contemporary-flirty
(*note: we don't actually have a matching hat. I totally made that up)
This week's romper is more a dressy romper than last week's. The waist detail and classy material make this one a more grown-up romper...and it also has a great back!
Actually, why not just wear the romper with these amazing Kate Spade electric blue patent-leather heels:
The way in which the material of this dress is folded-over makes it so structurally sound that it could almost stand up by itself! This is good news for busty people like me because it means everything will be securely held in place and, um, elevated (amiright?).
I love this skirt from Canadian designer Allison Wonderland! The apple print is the the reason that you will be getting stopped by strangers in the street saying "I love your skirt, where did you get it?". (And then you proudly say, "It's by this Canadian designer from Toronto. I got it in this cute little shop in Garneau called Red Pony, have you heard of it?")
So excited about these Fly London shoes!
This shirt from Aritzia totally cracks me up!
This 3.1 Phillip Lim purse comes from his Target line (who knew?), and it ticks off a bunch of boxes for me. I love a structured purse that can stand on it's own, especially when it has little feet (which this one does), and solid hardware. Plus, this one is NWT!
OK, so when I walked in this Rachel Roy dress was on the mannequin, and it looks so great! I am crazy about this dress! First off, the colour and print of the fabric is lovely, and it adds interest and a bit of a this-old-thing?-I-just-threw-it-on vibe.
Then there is the contrasting material at the collar, and also down the back......
...and of course the back itself is incredible.
We had birds last week, this week we are back to stars....
I love the colour orange, especially in clothes because it's not very common. This orangey-red dress is from Australian brand Lovely Girl.
Elegant silk tunic:
And a beautiful silk dress (perfect for wedding season!):
And check out the back detail:
So this boot by Samantha Pleet for Wolverine is named the "Bonny Boot" after the pirate Anne Boony. You know I love a garment with a story!
Here is the cousin of last week's ballerina-on-her-day-off dress:
Look closely at the image on this sweat-shirt from environmentally conscious brand Alternative Earth:
This jersey dress by Canadian brand Katie has a an stretchy, elastic belt:
OK, so I think these shoes are hand-made! There is no logo, they have a wooden base, a new rubber sole and leather straps. Totally unique!
Comfy Anthropologie tunic (check out the pockets!):
Now, friends, I don't work in an office any more, but if I did I would love to rock this kind of a suit (I'd wear it with those blue Kate Spade heels!):
From our friends at Noul:
Remember this tank top from last week? Well it's on our sales rack now, and that little red dot means it's 50% off!
I'm looking forward to later this week when we will be hosting a special, private shopping night for supporters of the UofA Hospital Art Gallery. You know what that means....yes, soft cheeses!
One last thing from the back room:
